About boiler installation
Boiler installation means putting in a central heating system where none of the current type exists yet: your first ever boiler, a conversion from an old back boiler or a heat-only (regular) boiler to a combi, or a new heating system for an extension or new-build room. It's a different job to a straight swap of an existing boiler for a similar new one, which is a replacement rather than an installation.
Conversions are the job we see most often in older Havering housing stock: a back boiler tucked behind a gas fire, or a regular boiler feeding a hot water cylinder and cold water tanks in the loft. Moving to a combi means removing the tanks and cylinder, capping off redundant pipework, and running new pipework to wherever the combi is going, which is usually a kitchen or utility cupboard rather than behind a fireplace.

For an extension or new-build room with no existing heating, we start from a heat loss calculation for the space so the boiler and radiators are sized correctly rather than guessed at. Where a cylinder is being fitted for a system boiler, that includes the correct G3-qualified work if it's unvented.
On the day, that means a proper survey first, new pipework and flue routed to current standards, a system cleanse and inhibitor dosing to BS 7593 before the new boiler goes live, and the installation notified through Gas Safe for Building Regulations compliance. We're based in Romford, so most of this work is across Havering and the surrounding towns.
