About toilet repair & installation
This covers both repairs to an existing toilet, such as a constantly running cistern, a weak flush or a leak at the base, and full installation of a new pan and cistern, whether close-coupled or wall-hung. It's one of the more frequent call-outs we get across Romford and Havering, and the fix ranges from a quick valve replacement to a full unit swap depending on what's actually gone wrong underneath.
Most running or noisy cisterns come down to a worn fill valve or a failing flush syphon, both of which are straightforward to replace without touching the rest of the toilet. A weak or inconsistent flush is usually the same syphon or a partially blocked rim, rather than anything to do with the pan itself. A toilet that rocks slightly when you sit down, or leaks around the base, points to a failed pan connector or seal rather than a structural problem, but it's worth having looked at before it damages the floor underneath.

For new installations, the waste connection matters as much as the toilet itself: a straightforward swap connects into the existing soil pipe, but a toilet fitted somewhere new, away from the soil stack, may need a macerator unit to pump waste up to the nearest available connection point instead of relying on gravity alone.
Once a new pan and cistern are fitted and properly levelled, we seal the base, connect the water supply, and test the flush and every joint carefully before we consider the job done.
